    Any ideas why my e36 m3 is leaking oil? The car has 55k miles.

    Without knowing where, a general guess would be the valve cover gasket.

    thanks for your help, it was the power steering reservoir and hoses attached.

    It's usually the end of hose clips that come lose causing leaks.
    New hose clamps w/a nut or screwdriver will stop that leaking.
    Unless the hose is frayed at the ends, they should still be good.
