    Coolant Temperature Sensor Testing

    Guys,
I have a 1997 M3. When I start the car in the morning, it wouldn't stay idle. It runs very rough and then cuts out, and sometimes misfire. I had 2 leaky injectors. I replaced them, but it still didn't fix the problem. I was testing the coolant temp. sensor, but the Bentley Manual that I have doesn't have the test values for the 4 prong double switch/sensor for the Siemens system. Anyone can tell me what the correct values are for testing the Coolant Temperature Sensor?

Just buy a new one save time. Now you have a known good sensor and one to compare the suspected malfunctioning unit.
