    335xi purchase options

Looking at a 2009 335i x-drive auto, sport, heated seats and logic-7 sound. Car is a demo with 7500 mi. The dlrship in NY suburb is willing to go down to 37K (MSRP is 47K).
Is this a good deal ? Anything to watch out for?

I have not explored 2010 cars with sport as I was told that there are very few in inventory w/o the nav or premium (both options I don't want). Anyone buying a 2010 with similar specs please share. I am willing to wait 6-8 wks for the car to be produced but I think I lose the $2500 finance credit if I do that.
    TIA.

Loaded or barebones is the rule

Certainly, when I was looking for my car (I eventually was able to order and keep the discounts) a few months ago, all the ones on dealer lots were loaded (with nav/premium) or barebones (vinyl, perhaps sports). What you describe is a stripper, essentially.

It's got the MUST HAVE stuff on it, IMO...

heated seats and Sport. If you like it, go for it. The price sounds OK to me.

    Re: 335xi purchase options

I think for a bit more $$ you can get a new 2010 335xi built exactly to your specs. My dealer sold me an '09 328xi fully loaded car for $500 over invoice. I think the price on that car is good, but is it exactly what you want? You're spending a lot of money on a car - get what you love. My $0.02 anyway.

    Re: 2009 335xi purchase options

Decided to go for it ! Will be picking up later this week.
I am going to look carefully at tire wear before I pick up the car as it has 7500 miles. How long should I expect the 335 x-drive RFTs to last?

Aside from that, is there anything to watch out for that is not covered in the 4y/50k warranty?
    TIA

    Re: 2009 335xi purchase options

My son's sport package Bridgestone RFTs on his 335i lasted 32K miles, which is probably the outlier on the high side. Most people seem to be getting 20K-25K miles on theirs.

Everything (other than tires) is covered by the warranty and free service. However, the service pays only for oil changes as indicated by the car's computer, which means 15K usually. If you want more frequent changes, most dealers stick you for $125 or more. Also, no transmission or differential oil changes, or brake fluid flushes, are included because they're not "required".

Do *NOT* pay for extras that the dealer wants to do but are not included in BMW's maintenance list, like fuel-injector cleaner. It's far cheaper to use an independent, do it yourself, or simply not do a lot of these "recommended" items.

    Free Maintenace = 0 Maintenance

You are looking at turbo car that is way harder on Oil.
Even there non turbo cars on this program don't even get a radiator flush until the warranty is out . Inspection 2 now comes at 60k
