    They're getting ready

    Active steering is step one.

    Bosch already controls the brakes with active cruise and accident avoidance.

    Making the break from a mechanical back-up is a huge step though.

    Doesn't Mercedes have brake by wire in some test vehicles?

    I'm still getting used to the electric water pump!

    But I understand it makes good sense.

    I'm looking forward to the future to see what it does to the driving experience. Drive by wire steering and brakes will be very interesting for those of us who are only skilled with the mechanical systems.
    Bentley is going to have a stroke!
