    Hello Again

Hi to all out there in the BMW world

I haven't posted on Roadfly for a few years so just touching base to see what's happening

Since I was last on Roadfly I'm still living in Brisbane (Australia), I've sold my Z3 2.8, Z4 3.0, and Cooper S, and now have in the garage a Z4 M Roadster and 335i Convertible (my wife's drive)

Only "problem" I've had with these cars is recent very premature replacement of rear tyres on the 335i due to scrubbing on the inside edges (AU$800+ each), which is a problem now in the hands of BMW Australia for "consideration"

I's be interested in hearing from anyone who has experienced the same problem and how it was resolved

Look forward to catching up with what's happening in the world of BMW

Had drastic inner wear from the time my car was

new. Tires looked great on the outside until you put the car up on a lift to see the inner tread. Saw right thru to the cord.
4 wheel alignment cured the problem with a new set of tires.

Has nothing to do with run flats, i do not have the stock run flats on there anymore and it still did the same thing to mine. Very helpful post, when i took mine off in the fall i was wondering why the hell they where worn so much on the inside.

    Thanks!Dustin

15-25K is all I would expect from rear tires...

    How much did you get?

    Re: Hello Again

could be alignment, but most likely just the lousy wear characteristics of runflats. You are luck to get that many miles from them, IMHO.

Get the car aligned, ditch the runflats, and your life will improve!
