    Diesel Economics

I´ve been giving a lot of thought to the price points for various diesels (including the 335d) - esp. compared to their petrol-powered equivalents - and this turned into a short essay which turned into a longer treatise.

Would love to hear everyone´s thoughts on this.

Let me know what you think.

Good Information, good beginning. Boy is a diesel

not for you! You trade your cars so frequently that the long term long haul benefits wouldn't have time to affect your ownership. And I maintain that yours are the ownership habits of the majority of Americans. You have to hang on to a car and endure if you want a diesel purchase to pay off.
Only with the current discount you describe would diesel consideration allow you to pick between the two on the merits of each car. Do we have a take on how the resale values might compare after an arbitrary four years of ownership?
