    Sunroof Problem

    Sunroof problems. I have a 1997 740IL and have sunroof acting up. the shade has come out of its track and I have pulled it out of the roof completely. The sunroof only goes back about 5 inches and it moves slowly. When I try to close it it goes an inch or so and stops and goes back. I have to hold the switch on to get it to close. I have read many of the postings here and have not found one that relates to my problem. Does anyone have any intructions on how to take the sunroof out and reassemble it? Or any other suggestions would be helpful.

    Yes I have. but there is nothing on taking out the sunroof and reparing the rails or clenaing. There is aloot on adjustment, alignment and gasket replacement. I would like to take the sunroof out and clean it all up.
