Anyone Have Tips for e34 seats in an e28?

    Electrical, mounting, strategy, parts... etc?

I got a good deal on some nice E34 seats. I'll figure it out at some point on my own, but I figured I'd ask before trying to recreate the wheel.

    Thanks in advance.

Re: Anyone Have Tips for e34 seats in an e28?

My '88 e28 had a crushed spring and leaned all the time. No fix or seats available.
I measured lots of bmw seats and ended up buying '95 318i leather seat for $25 in junkyard. The width of the rails is fine. No elec motors. I used a rotozip and cut 2 new front holes, rails were 1 1/2" too long.
Factory e28 seat weighed 80 plus lbs.
    318 seat weighs 30lbs.
seat belt unbolted from left side of e28 seat and there is a perfect hole in 318 seat, used old seat bolts, grade 8.
e28 male seat belt mates to 318 female latch just fine.
    Feels 100 % better

e32 seats into an e23 but should be the same-

search e32 seats or BIGANT over on bimmer board dot com in the e23 section. Bigants writeup shows wiring also.
