    Door brake cracking door frame

Anyone experience the metal cracking around the door brake. What did you do to repair it other than have a body shop repair it. I am going to try to find some big washers to reinforce the area. I checked with Koala Motorsports and they told me the design of the E46 door makes it to difficult for them to make their reinforcment plates.

Never heard of it with an E46. Usually happens...

with older cars. I guess 124K and 10 yrs qualifies your car but it seems a little early, IMO. The cracking is usually the result of age and the door being hyper-extended...more than once. Weld it, paint it, and be done with it.
