Re: 2005 645ci /sprint booster
Yes I installed and then later removed. In a nutshell, it is simply a device that modifies the amount of signal to the throttle positioning system by some fixed amount. It just was too eager for me. If in traffic and you want to be smooth it just does too much down shifting with little pressure on pedal. There may be a newer version out with some fine tuning available or at least a switch to return to normal mode when you do not want to be so aggressive. My seat of the pants feel was that non-sport with SB was a little hotter than SPORT mode w/o SB. And of course SPORT with SB was really hot on the throttle position. All my experience is with AUTO tranny of course. I removed it and it sits on a shelf. I put it in if I plan to do autocross or track or Tail of the Dragon driving.
Another brand or two now available with alternate throttle position algorithms and features, but I do not have info right at hand.
If you need to I can get more info on these others (not sure if it is one or two others).
SB mounted under the gas pedal. Pry of allen head cover, unloosen allen head screw, pull up pedal, disconnect and insert SB connectors. Keyed so it could not go together wrong. Use head mounted light for ease of install. A little awkward trying to get SB in between pedal and tunnel cover but it does hide fairly well.
Oh, and if you think of it, try not to use all CAPS in your message.
