    Soft Headliner Installation Instructions

I recently purchased a soft headliner kit from BMW for my 1999 M Roadster. However, it did not come with any installation instructions. Has anyone tackled this job and do you have installation instructions?

    Thanks

Dealer should have printed the instructions out

for you. Sorry I don't have them. BMW stopped including instructions with their accessories some years ago and supplies the dealer with a CD of instructions.

I should still have the CD for the installation...

...of the accessories at home. If the dealer won't give them to you, let me know and I can PDF them...

What do you think of it?

I was wondering if the headliner reduced noise? I'm not concerned about looks or reduction of heat/cold but I sure would like to reduce the noise which probably is due to the plastic window. Thanks, Ken

That kit will not fit earlier Z3 models

I installed the BMW retrofit kit:

    01 Softtop headlining 1 up to 04/1999 54-31-0-028-841 $474.95

Prices are substantially down (Around $105 plus shipping)

Re: BMW of North Haven CT

I would like to order this for my Z3. However both bmwpartzdirect and Pelican Parts list it as NLA (No Longer Available). Any suggestions?

Not listed as NLA online for

North Haven nor Tischer. It's possible I bought the last one in the world, but probably doubtful.

Re: Not listed as NLA online for

We will see. Maybe third time is a charm. Does not show NLA on any of the sites, however after ordering I was notifed via email that it is not available. Happened with Pelican and bmwpartsdirect. We will see what happens with getbmwparts.
