    Yes & no...

Yes: if the 750Li disks are CDs.
Yes: if you updated your 740iL to a DVD-based MKIV.

No: if the 750Li disk is a DVD and your 740iL is not upgraded to a DVD-based nav computer.

Thank you for the response. Do you know of any links and/or postings that offer the sequence of events to update to a DVD-based MKIV? Also, if I decide to go another route, are there navigational discs for sale that are reasonably (cheaply) priced? I tired of ending up in swamps :)

There is an entire forum dedicated to nav upgrades

Your car probably has a MKII navigation computer. This is almost a simple plug-and-play to a MKIV. The only extra step is that you remove the MKII's external "Trimble" module along with the nav computer itself. Then, you just plug in the MKIV to the existing MKII plugs and reroute the antenna from the old Trimble to the plug on the back of the MKIV. It is a 30 minute project.

There is an entire forum dedicated to BMW navigation upgrade projects. I did this exact same project to my original 1998 740iL and now to my 2000 750iL. Here is the forum. (You just need to delete the space in the URL.)
