Temperature sending unit
Can someone tell me where the temp sending unit is located on the e21 engine (M10)?

I found it after looking at a parts diagram. What I found on my car is a couple of bare wires not connected to anything. These wires are close to the sending unit, but I' not sure where they should be connected. I always love it when you find bare wires not connected to anything and why they are there, more detective work is required i guess

IF THEY ARE UNDER #1 INTAKE RUNNER THEY WILL BE A GOUND SIDE CONTROL FOR THE COOLANT TEMP SENSOR, COLD START INJECTOR, OR IT SHOULD BE MARKED WITH A PINK/REDDISH CONNECTOR OR A FADDED BLUE CONNECTOR.
