That's ok - 225/45R17 is optional size
Although 205/50R17 is the OEM size for non-sport package 330's, the 225/45R17 is perfectly fine. That's the tire size for the 325 sport package, and works fine on 330's, too. I used it on my 330xi with excellent results.
The staggered tires actually produce more understeer than the non-staggar.
