    Rover Mini Stalls on Idle

    Hi everyone,

new to this forum and recently new Rover Mini owner.

Bought a '97 Rover Mini for my wife on the weekend from a Jap import dealer in NSW Australia.

The next day it began to conk out/stall whilst idle at traffic lights, etc. Kicks over no problem when you start it up again after stall, but engine continues to cut out when idle/low revs.

We've found that if we stop at lights, give it a bit of gas to get the revs up, it's okay. Also, if we make sure we go down to 2nd before we stop and then into neutral, it is okay too.

    Any suggestions?

Idle air valve? Idle needs tightening? Timing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance,

    Age.
