Any advice on removing raditor to get some room? Virtually no space is available under the hood. I'm trying to replace the pump & thermostat..

Re: replace water pump - Z4=2005

I've discovered the ugly truth - you must raise the engine to get the water pump out - here's a link: http://www.2carpros.com/forum/2003-bmw-z4-water-pump-replacement-vt127031.html

While the Z4 has many good design features - it seems there is a disconnect between the style design team and the engineering design team - why make the removal of a basic part as a water pump so gd difficult?
