Hate to disagree with all of you, but......
Two serious issues with this.
The first is legal. Obviously this is illegal, and Bentley Publishing has full right to prosecute.
The second is more "logical". Bentley produces excellent manuals. I wouldn't have been able to perform half of the repairs I've done on my e36, e38, e39, or e24's without their very well done manuals.
I always consider buying their manual as part of my purchase price on any BMW. It's $90 guys, and we all know we save more than that the first time we look up anything.
The folks at Bentley deserve to make money on the manuals they publish. They are a for-profit business. If guys duck around it like on this deal, it lowers the payback for them. As such, we may not see manuals like these published in the future. I bought my e38 (1995) before these manuals existed, and trust me, it would have been well worth 3X to have had the manual then.
I'm not rolling in $$$. (In fact, I've been unemployed for over a year.) But right is right, regardless of money, and copying and distributing this isn't right.
Look at it another way: One of you could buy the pdf version from SoccerGolf55 for $15, then distribute it to the others for $1 each. Everyone would be happy except SoccerGolf55, who would obviously not run any other manuals for anyone. All SoccerGolf did was scan this, and he did it illegally. Bentley invested a great amount of money into producing this manual, and is being cheated out of it.
Do what's right. ESPECIALLY when the cost of doing what is right is so low.
