    Remote Key Programmming

The battery died on my 2006 X3 and now the remote keys will not operate. Does anyone know how to reprogram the car so that it re-recognizes the remotes to open and lock the doors?

    Thanks!

    Try this

    1. Get in Car and shut all doors and windows.
    2. Put master key (your key) in ignition and turn to RUN, then turn to OFF. (Less than 5 seconds)
    3. Remove key.
    4. Hold down LOCK button, (BMW Logo), then press UNLOCK button 3 times. The key should now be programmed.
    5. Repeat step 4 for any additional keys (other keys).

Let me know if this does not work
