    used car dealers toss them...

    I got mine at a Lexus dealer. I didn't know much about buying a car at the time but the BMW sticker was not included, only the Lexus one. If I bought from an owner, I would expect to have the sticker.

    Repro window stickers are a great deal...

    ..if well done. They look very nice at shows, especially as the car gets older. Before I bought my Z3 in 2002 I had a '71 Cuda. The original sticker was a tattered mess, but I found a guy that had blank original factory stickers- and for $20 and a photocopy of my old sticker he made a new one. When I showed the car everyone wanted to read the sticker- especially the $3241. selling price for a fully optioned car with the big block powertrain. I would guess that it doubled the number of people who looked at the car closely. I've carefully stored the sticker from my '02, especially since it shows an "unavailable" 2002 combination of Topaz exterior and Impala Brown interior.Doug
