Latest in the High Pressure Pump Saga
Took my car in yesterday after a couple of days of extended starts accompanied by a "Service Engine Soon" light. Normally I like to let problems develop a bit more, but I am going on a road trip in a couple of weeks and really didn't care to end up in the Michigan UP with a malfunctioning HP pump.
Turns out BMW has a recall regarding the pumps in the works and supposedly will be sending out letters soon. However, you don't get a new pump, you get a software download, which I did.
Don't have any idea if this will solve the problem. Time will tell.
