Anyone ever drive the Nurburgring?
I'm not too far and would love the chance. There are still a TON of details to work out (one of which is I'm sure my rental is NOT insured on the track). I might rent something there if I go, but I'd hate to get this close to it and not race at least one lap.
Anyone been there and have tips?

Even if you can't drive it they have taxis that
you can ride in. The Ring Taxis used to be M5s, and one of the drivers is the best Nurburgring driver of them all Sabine Schmitz. Driving would be a blast, but a second best would be a ride with a pro. Here's a link, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNemK-xKfZY

I saw the episode of her on Top Gear...
I would LOVE to be a passenger in the car if she were the driver. It's definitely something to consider...but I agree with you, driving would be best :-)
