    you mean like this?

i'm just testing the car's dynamics and figuring out what needs to be addressed. stability under braking was one of the things - the clip below is why i decided to add a wing to the car. a properly sized wing transforms the car dramatically and now i've done enough testing to figure out what the proper size is.

    That would certainly qualify.

Even with out the wing, it seemed to be stable, not really a snap loss of control, just nothing you were going to get back.

    Looking good._________________

    actually i shoulda saved it

or more specifically shoulda caught it before it started, but it was a 100F day, i was tired and generally driving like crap.

the prototype is definitely doing its job as a development tool. i've learned TONS from it over the past year. still work to do but when all done these are going to be pretty awesome cars, if i do say so myself :)

Have you thought about track day dp4 rental?

Have a few dp4's in the Mothership and have people rent them for the day/session? There would be the up front investment in a bead seat but that might encourage repeat business and also be a cool way to lure people into buying.

yes i have. challenge is funding the builds

that's a bunch of car inventory that we have to invest in hoping that we get rentals (and then there are transport costs, maintenance, etc). i'd have to charge a lot per day to have it make any sense business-wise.

a better approach might be to sell them to schools or people who already run arrive-and-drive operations and have an established clientele and infrastructure. putting on events and providing support is a LOT of work and a business in and of itself. it's hard to do that AND design and build cars! :)
