Fuel purge control valve fuse location

I have code P0443 (Purge control valve circuit error), I've replace the valve, but the the code isn't cleared after a week of driving.

Does anyone know if there's a dedicated fuse for the valve?

    Thanks

Re: Fuel purge control valve fuse location

That valve is fused on F2 in the Ebox. But that fuse also serves several other items including the DME itself so I doubt that is your issue.

Youw will have to look for battery on the one lead and continuity to the DME connector on the other.

Are you sure the connector at the valve is OK - if so start checking the wiring backward from it.

    Cheers

Thanks for the quick reply, Jim.

The connector looks ok (the jacket is a hardened but everything else looks like they're in good condition). It's probably hard to test since that circuit isn't on all the time?

Did you clear the code after the replacement? I'm

just making sure that you didn't think it would go off by itself after replacement.

Re: Did you clear the code after the replacement? I'm

I cleared the code but it came back after 2 starts. I checked the connector again yesterday and found some green color material inside, probably what's left over from a coolant hose failure a while ago, so I crapped it off, sprayed some contact enhancement in there. Hope that's the fix. I'll report back in a few days.

So, cleaning the contact points did the trick for me this time. It's been 4 days and the code hasn't come back.
