through some odd twists of fate
i'm now once again an mcoupe driver, if not actually an owner. it feels good to be 'back'. :)
these cars are indeed a lot like nothing else.

it's very nostalgic, after all these years...
this one is a '99 with some 90K miles and is in need of some TLC. we'll take care of most of that over time. started with a cleaning and now it's much happier. someday i definitely plan on picking up a very low mileage S54 so i hope someone out there is saving one for me! :)

yep, some of my best friends i met here.
the car attracts a certain kind of person, i think.
having gone through a lot of different cars since the coupes and now coming back made me realize that this is the one i want to have. it just fits.

As I remember, you said you'd probably be back...
The only thing I misjudged about these cars is the quality of the build; I just retired and moved 500 miles - taking with me the 2 sets of MC exhaust systems I bought for a song in '02, knowing that I'd still have the coupe now but figuring the exhaust system would go bad at around a decade...
Oh well, when somebody's looking to restore an MC in 20 years, they'll have to hunt me down. They'll still be in my attic.

So true, so true, including ME! ... but I still HAVE my 2000 Mcoupe, purchased 5/12/99. Turned 100K on 8/13/10 (with about 6K on the track) and still running strong and still turning heads. Yes, dp and I go back a ways (huh, dp?).
