Maybe the M was added by the dealer? My dad bought the car new and didnt add anything. Are there any performance extras added? I'm not sure what standard is.

those M logo are available from dealer or internet

maybe your dad added it because he thought it looks cool.
There were no performance options from the factory for the engine, power is enough.

    Options ordered are:

    No. Description
    216 SERVOTRONIC

    241 AIRBAG DRIVER/FRONT PASSENGER

    245 STEERING COLUMN ADJUSTMENT ELECTRIC

293 BMW LM RAD MIT NOTLAUFEIGENSCHAFTEN (light alloy wheels with emergency/flat-run run function)

431 INTERIOR REAR VIEW MIRROR WITH AUTOMATIC ANTI-DAZZLE FUNCTION

    488 LUMBAR SUPPORT DRIVER/FRONT PASSENGER

    640 CAR TELEPHONE PREPARATION

    686 DIVERSITY-FUNCTION AERIAL

    694 PREPARATION FOR CD CHANGER

Read the owners manual, there are a lot of gimmicks included in the standard E32, not many people know the all.

I also added an M logo in the front grill

but not on the E32, on my E36 M3, and that is a real M car from BMW Motorsport, you can also see the engine cover with the M and other M logo on the chassis.

Also the VIN number shows immediately that it is a real M3, because especially on the E36 many 'fake M3" are sold, people just add logos, and trim etc.Shogun E32 Tech Tips: http://twrite.org/shogunnew/topmenu.html

Shogun, this is the 2nd time he's posted this.

Maybe he thinks if he posts this fake M enough times, it will turn into one.

If that's what he thinks, he doesn't know much about M-cars.
