    Wiper intermittent speed plug-in unit?

First time post, hello to all. I imagine it's been posted before, but a friend mentioned that there is a plug in part to replace the stock intermittent wiper cartridge(?). Izzat so? One that speeds up and slows down the intermittent rate as the car speeds up or slows down? Any info is much appreciated.

The Z3 roadster as far back as the initial 1996 model year automagically lowers the wiper interval when the car's at a standstill. Once the car is in motion again, it resumes the rate.

The intermittent cartridge merely lets you "program" the rate as the LeatherZ site indicates, but it doesn't slow down in a linear fashion to the speed you're driving. Where the original factory config for the wiper stalk provided an Off, Slow, Medium, and Fast mode, the upgrade changes that to Off, Slow/Intermittent, Medium and Fast. When your wheels come to a stop in all modes, it'll kick down to a low wipe rate and kick back up -- no gradual slowdown.

I installed one in mine. It requires removing the panel below the glove box to access a bracket that houses the original wiper module and a pre-wired slot for the dealer-installed alarm/KeylessEntry.
