First though you need to find out what triggered the SRS light. In most cases its the pyrotechnic tensioner wire needs to be cleaned and reset. Actually all of the seat wires should be cleaned with Deoxit and reseated. Peake makes a SRS code reader/reset tool for around $140. You might find someone local to you who has one and can help you out.

My airbag light came on about 2 years ago. I bought the Peake code reader and reset the light without doing anything else, and the light hasn't come back on since. So you might want to try that before pulling apart and cleaning all the connections, which seems like it could create other problems.
