You are talking about the ABS unit itself in front of the pass side strut tower and not the pre-charge pump on the drivers side?
If it's the electronic black box on the ABS pump those can be rebuilt.

Hi Jim, Yes...I am talking about the ABS unit itself in front of the pass side strut tower and not the pre-charge pump on the drivers side. My spedometer isnt working. I've replased all four wheel sensors. Now my nechanic is telling me that I need to replase my ABS pump in order for my spedo to work? Is this so? Where can I find a cheap replacement?

Price on ABS controller has dropped...

considerably ompared to the price a few years ago. You do need to have an indy BMW shop or the dealer code the new controller to your car so the price of that needs to be included if you're replacing the controller yourself. You can check prices online. The advantage of the ModuleMaster repair is that you don't need to code the controller.
