Great power above 4k RPM not so great below...

I have a 93 - 325is the power is so, so below 4000RPM at 4k it runs like a bat out of hell. Car runs great besides that. Sometimes there is a little surging at idle when coming to a stop.

    Any ideas fellas?

At the risk of sounding like a service rep, to a certain extent "they all do that." You have a '93, which has a pre-vanos engine. We had a '93 325is, and the difference in torque compared to our single vanos '98 E36 with the same displacement was pretty impressive. I'm not saying there is definitely nothing wrong with your car, but not sure what U R comparing it to, either. A few decades ago, I would have said check the ignition timing and fiddle with the distributor, but those days are long gone.

    Agree

My '95 325 has vanos, but it still has little torque below 4K.

It's not a bad thing. Use it to your advantage.

Below 2K it's very weak, but that's useful for gentle acceleration and slippery roads.

At 3K you can keep up to normal traffic with ease.

At 4K+ you can have fun on a clear road.
