    Public Service Announcement

    This has not come up lately, so I thought Id post a cautionary note.

    Go out in the garage right now and examine the hinge on the gas filler door for cracks. It does happen, and, if you lose the door while driving, it will be a PITA: buy a door and hinge, and get it painted to match the car, rather than preemptively replacing the hinge.

    Mine is cracked: thanks for warning !

    Not expensive to replace but not cheap to fix indeed once the fuel door comes off. Another plastic part that bites the dust...
