I'm sooooo ready for Spring/Summer...
...Finally found the right bike. Jumped thru some hoops to get the tag and title transfered over. Took her for a quick ride this afternoon, froze my ašš off. Perfect weather to buy a bike, lousy weather to ride one. BTW, her name is Abby. Emma, (my little scooter) is going to the ex.

Thanks guys, when it's warm enough to ride...
...rain is in the forecast. It's supposed to be in the mid-30s and 40s Monday and Tuesday, I'll dress in layers and do some short trips. The bike has heated grips that work quite well, though the previous owner wired the hi/lo switch backwards. The bike doesn't have a tach, which is a must. I ordered an Autometer gauge last night, and some small items from JC Whitney. Spent $$$ on some First Gear riding boots. I'm gonna buy a modular full face helmet next month so I can ride without having to put on my contacts. Now all I need is an El Camino to haul the bike around.

I don't know what it is about Wis and ILL but
it always feels about 10 degrees colder than IA, which I can say from first hand experience this winter.

yah, I tis
Bought a 4 acre farm around Iowa City for horses, B'n'B, and hopefully aquaponics. Working to get it rented now, then I will be back to Monterey to move into a new house back there. Life is a little crazy right now.
All happened out of the blue when I came back for a daughters wedding.
