Walking to the car after Karate class last night..
I slipped on black ice fell and landed on a concrete wheel stop. Left hand in pocket and right hand clutching iPhone...Oh[Oops!]...that hurt! Shin broke my fall onto the wheel stop, ripped through pants and peeled 4" off skin. Left a baseball sized knot about 1/2" high on the shin. Azz hit the pavement hard and and there's some bruising going on back there but I can't see it...and don't really want to. Back, hip and knee are gimpy. Head, elbows, and hands are OK. Thankfully, nothing broken and our Cayman trip will not be affected. Ten years ago I probably would have been able to catch myself...but as I've aged I succomb to gravity more easily. This gettin' old is gettin' old. Take it from someone who is now experienced at it...be careful not to slip on the ice...it can KILL!

Ouch! I've done that, although not quite as bad.
Horrible feeling, knowing there's nothing you can do, and then you ache for weeks afterward. Hope you are a quick healer.
