Looks good from 20 feet away
if there isn't major rust and it's never been hit I can't imagine not being able to sell that car for $4500 after you've had your fun with it. He sounds pretty desperate- might be able to get it for $3800- fuggetaboutit.

Of course it will take you at least $800 to get it
shipped to the West Coast and you'd need an independent ppi done...

It depends
Florida is actually not a bad rust state overall- generally if cars are stored inside most of the time they can stay fairly rust free. We never get snow so there is never any salt on the roads and no ice to hold water against the car for extended periods.

It's Jacksonville, so a ceremonial offering of
a packet of Red Man tee-bacca is de rigeur.

1967 V8 was the 289 cu in, not 302....
My dad bought a brand new '67 Mustang in 1967 with 3 on the floor (didn't opt for the 4 on the floor) with the 289 with 195 hp. After about a month of me driving it and knowing I'd probably kill myself in it, he traded it in for another new '67 Mustang with the 200 cu in 6-cylinder (120 hp) with the 3 speed automatic. I was so pi$$ed. That car would top out at 80 mph (85 if took off the air cleaner) on level ground. 0-60 in maybe 14 seconds. The car lasted 3 New Hampshire winters before the floors rusted through with all the salt on the roads.
