additional trans cooler? please help..
hi all,
so I got the trans. of my 92' 735iL rebuilt. Is it a good idea to put an additional trans cooler? The idea is inserting an air to air trans cooler on one of the trans. hose before (or after) it goes in to the radiator...
The mechanic said it's not necessary, but on a hot day in stop and go traffic I can feel the heat radiate in the cabin and the trans. shfiter fell hot...
any idea, anyone?
thanks in advance,
dan,

no need
your trans has the trans cooler inside the radiator, at least my 750.
See pics of that cooler on my website below, go to other diy links, private links, Johan & Sean, see radiator.
The center part of the radiator is for the trans cooling, at least on my 750. And I have a hot country/climate version because in summer time we have here 40 degree celsius, and that is no problem at all for the trans cooler originally installed.Shogun E32 Tech Tips: http://twrite.org/shogunnew/topmenu.html
