station wagon rear window malfunction
Problem: 535xi station wagon (2008) rear window pops open when car is started. Some sort of electrical problem? Anyone else? Dealer's first comment was, "gee, never seen this before."

yes, we've seen this many times in our dealership. First thing is I would look really closely in the trunk area for water ingress. If there is nothing there its most likely a defective window switch/button on the rear hatch.

My back windshield wiper comes on when I start her up...
and then it stops half way through its cycle and ends up facing the wrong direction. If I turn it off and on again, it puts it back in place.
I can't open the hatch or the window-I use the key for the hatchback.
The wiring around the hinges is damaged.
