Anyone need a pair of 540 valve covers?

I bought a spare set so I could powder coat them and have them ready when I did the valve cover gasket work. Those went on the car last week and I have the crusty looking original ones available. I would like to get the $100 back I paid for them. I will include a set of the 22 bolt seals, 16 of one size and 5 of 6 of the other size (with one missing) that you will need to buy to do the job and they ran $17 from Autohauz Arizona.

It was nice having the time to get them powder coated before doing the job.

them that is the killer. A local place said they will sandblast and PC them for $80. So at this price it really doesn't make sense for me to do this for others for free. 6 hours of cleaning is most of the day. I do have a small sandblaster but have never used it on valve covers. It's possible that sandblasting will pit them, which is something I don't want.

em up real good and clean em as good as i can and paint them with that high temp bubbly sorta rough loking paint that someone posted a few months ago. i kinda liked that look to be honest

makes it easier to remove, still takes a while to get it off. You're talking about krinkle finish paint or what ever they call it, right?

that were painted black with that sorta paint. figured the paint alone hides most the imperfections of not being able to remove all the old paint etc etc
