Sport Pkg-Steering wheel on '11s better than '09..
Had my '09 328 in for service recently, and got an '11 sport package as a loaner car.
Rather than the textured/slippery leather on the '09 steering wheel, the '11 sport wheel has a soft glove leather texture that has much better grip and feels 100% better.
Has anyone with an '09/'10 wheel noticed the same thing, and have you looked into the feasibility/cost of retrofitting the '09/'10 wheel with the much improved (in my opinion) '11 wheel?
Thanks!

I'd be inclined to fit a "Wheelskin" cover b4...
considering a st/wheel swap. The couple that I've installed have been quite good.

I put a wheelskin leather cover on my steering
wheel about 1.5 years ago. Still looks like new, has a fantastic feel compared to the oem (thicker, softer, & better grip). Everyone should do this as soon as they get a new car. Looks completely professional; I sometimes forget that I added it.
Installation took about an hour and a quarter sitting in the car and listening to the radio and taking my time to get the job done right. If you have a knack for crafts, you should have no problem. It does help to wear at least one glove on the hand you pull the cord tightly on after each threading. The cord is strong and thin, so it can cut into your hand some if you're pulling tight enough.
Pay attention to the suggested method to bridge across the spokes on the wheel.

exactly...I put the cover on both my E46s and...
they were still new looking 4 yrs later when I sold the cars. You're right about wearing a glove. That waxed cord starts wearing on your hand about half way through.
