Xenon's seem to be pointing down...

Just recently I noticed that my Xenon headlights are illuminating the surface right in front of the car and not as much out ahead. Also when I turn on the lights while parked facing a vertical surface (garage door) I don't notice the slight adjustment in the light cutoff elevation that I used to see. (Right after the lights were turned on there was a slight 'bounce') Any ideas as to what might be causing this?

It's about a $12 part from BMW. I've replaced both of mine.

used as a guide when I replaced my adjusters. I did the passenger side headlight in 2009 after hitting a huge pothole, and then the drivers side about a month or two ago when that side failed.

Had the same thing on my 2002 530 and wasn't the adjusters or the level sensors. The dealer did a reset of some sort, I guess, and it is back to normanl since. They didn't charge me for this. See you BMW dealer.
