Upper Timing cover gasket
While I'm waiting for my valve covers to come back from the powder coat outfit this week I will be replacing my upper timing cover gaskets since they too are leaking.
I have searched the threads and discovered a tool is required to set the covers back to flush with the head. One poster provided pn 988-6111-410 and purchased it from Samstag tools. I contacted Samstag this morning but they're 3 weeks out from delivery. I'd like to have it way before then.
Does anyone have another source for this tool? It's described as being manufactured from plastic and is the shape of half the valve cover gasket. Does anyone have a photograph? I wondering if it would be a good tool to manufacture in my shop.
Thanks for the assist.
