Spun my car in the snow this AM.....

I have been doing really well with my GoodYear Eagle F1 all weathers and detuning the traction control to DTC over the last two winters.

I use compressive braking (downshifting to 2nd on my manual tranny). This morning, it was pretty slick and when I downshifted coming up on a light, the car made a 180. Fortunately I was clear of traffic.

Apparently there is no action by traction control when negative torque is applied to the wheels under this condition. Something to keep in mind.

Kinda makes sense that there's no real...

Way to overcome engine braking. TY for posting and good that you and your car are AOK.

    Push in the clutch

so you are just coasting and using the brakes on all four wheels.
