X5 control arm bushings in my 540.........
I saw a couple of references to using the X5 control arm bushing in place of the original bushings. I had these installed a couple of weeks ago and I have not found any negatives (or positives yet) to using these. My hope is that the car will drive a bit tighter and not experience the rapid wear that the last set did.
I have not driven the car much, but the horrible shaking from about 45 to 60 mph is gone and the car feels great. I am not sure if stock bushing would not have accomplished the same thing, but it was worth the upgrade.
I hope they last longer than the 30k miles the last ones did.
