Only thing I remember is, it was my first time dining on squid. :-)

It has been that long for me as well. I really don't remember anything about the city at this point. It is fun getting old. Like Doug, I just dined on some squid (in a very good paella). Other than the cathedral and the historic royal palace, there isn't a whole lot going on downtown (typical shopping and restaurants). I did go into the room where Magellan and Amerigo Vespucci planned their journeys. Talk about "American" history!

Just wondering whether the wife and kids ever get to go along for the ride.
My wife and I flew from NH to Spain (in a roundabout way, through England and Germany) to visit friends that we had known when I was stationed in Germany.

We took advantage of that, just before my enlistment was up.
Couldn't beat the $10.00 airfare! :-)

During the trip over, all of the passengers got to watch from the boom-operator's position, as the tanker we were on fueled up a couple F-15's, near the Azores.

I can't be on the crew and fly the family around. We could all go as passengers but with a 5 yr old, 2.5 yr old, and wife due in March it's a little more difficult right now. We'll get out and about together soon though...
