i-Drive died
Well I got the dreaded constant reboot of the i-drive screen with the constant beeping. This leaves me with no radio or i-drive functions. Research says the CCC is bad and need replacing.
Have appointment with dealer tomorrow.
Question... The computer tries to constantly reboot, even when the car is turned off and the key is removed. I am worried that the battery is being run down. Can someone help me with magic words that I can say to the dealer to have them check the battery too. I know they can read the specific gravity of the acid to test for the functionality of the battery but the right words to get them to do that is what I need.
thanks

I have a 2007 335
It was very difficult I was able to get the map dvd and my music cd removed.
I put the dvd in it's package and left it on the front seat when I took it to the dealer.
I took the car to the dealer and they replaced the ccc. When I went to pick up the car the SA asked me where the map DVD was. I had him walk to the car with me and I opened the passenger door and right there in the seat, was the dvd in the package. Since they couldn't find the DVD they gave me the latest maps. (two disk set, vs the one disk I had before).Reply With Quote 66.0.4.164
