    Spark Plug

I am currently replacing my spark plugs on my 1989 325i. I pulled the boot off, and took the spark plug out of the engine head. The problem is that the terminal end of the spark plug is threads, while the new spark plugs have a cap over threads. I am afraid that the cap on the old spark plugs is stuck in the boot. I have tried threading the spark plug into the cap and pulling it out, but it feels like it is stripped. Does anyone know how to get it out?

I wouldn't worry too much about it. If you don't feel it in the cap or see it, pretend it isn't there. Just make sure you have a good contact between the cap and the new sparkplug.

    Unscrew the cap...................................

.......the spark plug wire end fits over the threads of the sparkplug.
