Had to do some maintenance on the E39

Its gotten cold out as you guys are aware around here the past 45+ days so I had to check the air in the tires and pump em up to 45 psi as shes been sitting in the garage for 2+ months now and probably will sit for another 2+ more.

p.s. I was doing a little records check today and saw that I have driven her 5700 miles in the past 5 years and 5 months.

freakin sad but sorta makes it that much more fun when I do take her out for some runs.

Re: Had to do some maintenance on the E39

Just today I completed 23k miles since I bought my 97 528i in July 05, I thought I had the record for fewest miles per year but you got me beat. Because I do not drive this car very much, when I do, it still feels like a new experience and I have not grown tired of it yet.

You and K-Bud neede to drive them more...

I have put over 35K miles on the 540 since I bought it Nov 09; 5K of that in a 1 month - this past December. Everyday I drive, it is a treat. Love the power, handling and comfort of this car. I have not driven any other cars that gives a well balanced mix of all the above. With winter tires on it, it is a very competant winter car (we have had snow since the 1st week of Dec, just got 8" yesterday, now froze solid since the temp dropped from 31 to 5 overnight and that is where it is to stay over the weekend; come on summer!). These cars beg to be driven...Drive it like you stole it!!!!! Enjoy it.Fritracer

+1 - daily grins don't lessen. Use dem cars!!!

They'll never be museum fodder so enjoy them a bunch! Snowy-road runs for take-out, sideways-pitched slides on deserted country roads, long blasts to let some stars through the sunroof...you really are doing that race horse a diservice by letting it rest for pastures that don't get greener ;-)
