    Possible Upgrade(s)

    I have a '98 M Roadster with 105,000 miles. we have owned since new. I am going to have $500-$800 to put in some more upgrades. Any suggestions of what is next? Here's what I have so far:

    Dinan Stage 1 Suspension

    Dinan strut bar

    UUC Transmission mounts

    UUC DSSR

    Powerflex Lower control arm bushings

    Stainless brake lines

    Steel clutch line

    Delrin clutch bushing

    Any and all suggestions are welcome

    Good Idea

    I still have the original light-up leather knob. The leather is getting worn so this would be a good time to upgrade.

    With all your physical upgrades I would consider Sharking it. Check out the performance software updates with turnermotorsport.com. I fould it one of the best, if not the best, modification on my 2000 Z3.Clazzic Don-NC

    IE or Powerflex subframe bushings also a good time to do your trailing arm bushings at the same time. They make a huge difference in improving the handling of the car.

    I don't think that falls in the $500 to $800 category. But a great addition. Wish I had one and knew how to get it through CA smog checks.

    DIY Upgrades?

    I did the Powerflex lower control arm bushings myself. Would you say the other bushings are about the same level of difficulty?

    I would say considerably more difficult because you have to drop the sub-frame down and use a special bushing puller to change out bushings. But it's well worth it. It really improves the handling of the car and it may help prevent trunk separation (sub-frame failure). If you are having rear alignment issues or bad rear tire wear you could also put in the IE rear toe and camber kits. With your mileage you should do the trailing arm bushings while your in there. I had the shop do mine when I had my new suspension put it.

    Add a Cold Air Intake when you do the Shark. The combo will be under $800.

    I have ordered the Shark injector to flash the ECU, a performance CAI as well as cat back exhaust for my '98 Z3 2.8L (Montreal Blue). Expecting a boost of 25-30bhp as well as 25-30 ftlbs. Running M6 18" wheels with 225/45 front and 245/40 rear.

    Prior upgrades are small dia M3 3 spoke steering wheel, OEM chrome headlight switch, chrome dash trim rings, new M stitched shift boot and brake boot, aftermarket halo headlights and hi intensity fog lamps.

    Where the Halo lights easy to install? Do you have them running in the day time running mode? What kind of exhaust system is it? I have the Shark and a CAI on our '98 2.8.
