    super bowl tickets

    upper deck $3855
    50 yardline $16,786
    suite/person 365,000

    Roof will be closed.

City of Arlington is fining all networks that say that the super bowl is in Dallas and Jerry Jones has their support. He must be getting a cut of the fines.

I'm so tired of hearing about the super bowl, everywhere you turn, super bowl, super bowl, super bowl. They are even giving the weather forcast for that day before this weeks!

So sad, can't wait until it's over!

Umm, what authority does Arlington have?

The networks can say the game in in Timbuktu and the City of Arlington has no authority to fine them for it. Methinks someone got a little carried away with a story and then rumors like this get spread as the truth.

Not to nitpick, but. . .

Stub Hub currently has tickets ranging from $2,530 to $12,724, not $3855 to $16,786. Those are still ridiculous prices for 3 hours of entertainment, but I like to be accurate in my reporting.

Well Jerry and Arlington's have some sort

of copyright thing going on. I do not know all the legalize, but fines started right after the NFL announced that the SB was in Arlington.

Jerry is more adamant about it than Arlington, especially since Dallas, the city and county, snubbed their noses at him when he wanted to build his shrine there.

You should witness Jerry doing an interview when the interviewer mentions that Jerry's shrine (or death star as the locals call it) is in Dallas he blows a gasket.

Re: Well Jerry and Arlington's have some sort

Hmm. I have run a couple searches and found nothing that discusses Arlington levying fines. Would be interested to see the basis for their ability to do so.

And I would LOVE to see Lord Vade. . . err, I mean Jerry Jones blow a gasket because someone commented that his Dallas Cowboys actually play in Dallas! Moron!

You mean like the fact that the Jets and Giants

    play and practice in NJ?

Could that be considered false advertising?

Strange. Even on the local stations it seems like

I'm still hearing more references to Dallas than I am Arlington. In fact, I hear more references to Ft. Worth than I do Arlington.

Hadn't heard anything about fines, and I'm with JTP on this one, I'm not sure how anyone can really enforce something like that.

I'm with you though about being sick of hearing about it every time I look up. Most of the problem of course is local news stations. Evidenly we need crime to go up so they have something else to report on.

What still has my panties in a wad is how they (the NFL and Jones) are going to count the people outside the stadium as part of the attendance figures. That's BS. If the person isn't inside the stadium they shouldn't be counted. I mean crap, there's going to be people watching from their homes/apts that are going to almost be as close to the field as those people watching from the outside. That's like saying back in college that I should have been given credit for being in attendance for classes when all I actually did was made it to campus.
