    Climate Control module went dead?

Driving home the climate control module on my 2000 528 died. Totally dead, no heat, display dead, etc. It was off for 20 minutes or so and right before I shut the car off it sporadically came back on. This is now the 2nd time in a week this happened.

Is there a relay going bad or? I assume it's not a fuse or it would not have come back on.

I changed the Final Stage Unit a year ago it's not that.

I'd appreciate any help it's freezing here and I dont want to have no heat!!

    thanks!

Did you buy the FSU on ebaY? If so, get one >>

from the dealer. There have been several reports of bad FSUs from ebaY. A design change was made in the heat sink. Yours should have 33 slender spines on it. If only 12 fat ones, you have the old design.

Yes from ebay but mine has the smaller and more frequent spines so I assume it's the updated one right?

Yes, that is the new updated FSU (m)

Even if your FSU was defective that would not cause your temp control panel to stop functioning and black out.
There is only one control wire from the temp panel to the FSU that controls the blower speed. The other FSU wires are 2 from the battery and 2 that go to the blower motor.
Have you pulled out the temp panel to make sure all of the connectors on the back are plugged in all the way? Take the top cover off and look inside, there are connectors in there too.
