aaaaaaaagh need to vent..........stupid BMW
So my package just turned up from Pelican parts all the way down under to Australia. (great service BTW) i had been having some issues with the 535i stalling and generally running like crap. so i hooked up carsoft and checked the codes ordered a crankshaft sensor and cam position sensor. Just got the car in the shed and started spannering away and discovered brown mud splattered all over the inside of the engine bay....... ????? the Water pump is wobbley again, i only replaced it just over 12 months ago, i've only done about 10000kms in that time............Is this normal, I knew the cooling systems were fragile but should i be replacing a pump every year???? can i do anything to extend the life of the pump. I use good quality coolant and check it regularly. Getting quite frustrated........

Also, get one of these or fabricate one. Hammering
or using screwdriver works, but I got tired of it. You can break something or hurt yourself.

Re: Re Stewart / success
Pelican has them listed but not for the 535/540. They have an OEM with plastic impellor and an after market Graf with a steel impellor, Any thoughts????
I went back to Autobarn (car parts shop) where i bought the water pump from last time and they seem to think the pump should have a 2 year warranty and were going to chase up a replacment which will be great.........
