327,013 miles and keeps going and going...
I've actualy bought my 2000 Nissan Frontier Desert Runner with 186,000 miles from this dealer about 2 years ago. I'm about to hit 200,000 miles any day now. Needless to say, I had good luck with this place.
I may visit him and check this car out. I love to see M52 going over 300k.

Yes, Chattanooga, TN. I keep playing with an idea
of getting X5, but in reality there is nothing that's ever going to be as long lasting as M52/M62. IMO, M54 and M62TU are close and everything after that is going downhill.

Re: ... especially when you have to introduce >>
I still don't understand why they did that with the battery. So what now? Do the battery's have a pc board integrated on it? Im sure there will be a cheap autozone type tool that you can connect and do this yourself. or they will offer programming at local parts stores.
Do you know what would happen if you installed the battery and didnt get it coded? Will the car be dead or will it run but with a tamper light on or something?

From what I've read on the subject, the alt can >>
be programmed during the "introduction" so that the charging profile will be such that the battery will last longer. It apparently has nothing to do with the battery.
I believe that this is in the category of chrome-plating dog turds.

wow, leaves me wondering why they waste time and money on creating this stuff when they can improve a plastic cooling system with a lot less effort

That's what impressed me. I know pictures can be
misleading, but the place is 30 miles from me. I may check it out this weekend.
